Another large room with dark walls need extra lighting to illuminate the whole room. higher wattage is needed here. Additional backup lighting in the ceiling or walls can help, especially in the dark parts. There is no need to manage lighting positions are symmetrical, but are more likely to give fluorescence to spread evenly. standing or floor lamp seems to work well to support the main lighting from the ceiling or the wall.

Medium to small sized room with bright colored paint does not require too much lighting but a fluorescent bulb or fluorescent light enough. It is intentionally different from a small room with dark paint in which only one is not enough light to illuminate all parts of the room unless we mean to have such a space. Ironically, the addition of lighting in the ceiling or wall does not match the small room, the room would be filled with light! It is whispered in her place at the ceiling a wide neon, or depend on one when the ceiling is high enough, with high wattage and color are obvious.

My home is older and has paneling on the walls. I have lamps everywhere, but the walls seem to absorb the light. No matter what wattage I use, or how many lamps I have, it still seems dark. It drives me nuts!

  • Well, it is not called “LIVING” room for nothing.

I do not really think about the intricacies of the type of light sources. For me, brighter is always better!
