Filter Information PhotoSince I finished my study at the college, I then join my father business in producing metal spare parts for machineries and industries. This business has grown my father to be a tough and good business so far, and has also sent me to the best college in the city. I really thank to my father and his company. That is why I took big machineries and components major.
This time, I must show my father what I have got from my study. I know that it is rather different – theoretical knowledge I got and practical process of production. I know that practically my father knows much about how to produce and measure some spare parts from just a simple iron bar to be very detail and precise spare part.
Hough he is positioned himself as the owner of this company, but my father always goes involving himself on the production. This is what I like from him. And today, he is processing to make metal filter in the warehouse. It is quite big size to make. I wonder what it is for, but asking my father will just disturb his concentration. I’d rather find out by myself what the filter is going to be used for.
Looking around at a table on the warehouse, I find a piece of paper with Filters Information jotted on it. The paper is apparently the guidance to making a machine used for an industrial filter that is being processed by my father. It is a big job I think. Last time, my father worked on an industrial spare parts and components. It took three weeks for him to accomplish two machines with a box of spare components. Of course he did not work alone, but at that time I was not here to assist him.
Looking more closely, I see my father is on the process of making a filter; I know it from what I study. But what it is for? I ask him by the time when he is taking a short rest. He says that it is a compressor filter. It functions to filter air which is usually followed with any dust or dirt coming in from the open space through metal channel into a carburetor to meet gasoline there. If dust comes into the carburetor, the compressor will not work well and it gets hot easily. Of course it will not happen so sudden; however, for the worse, the compressor could stop working or even blow up when dust or dirt closes the channel so air could not get in while the machine works pretty hard. This small part, my father says, is really essential though it does not look as it is.
I actually know about it from my college; however, my father explanation is always the clearest of all. All information from him is always easy to understand because he always tries to describe things with some gimmicks or real things. Gee, he is supposed to be a teacher rather than a business man.
